8 Teens torment and humiliate the high schools big geek
Marty Rantzen. They play horrible pranks on this nerd
until one day one of their little plots go horribly
wrong. Their prank backfires so badly that it not
only catches the schools lab on fire, but also with
Marty inside of it. He takes a bottle of acid in the
face and the bunsen burner ignites Marty's whole body.
The kids feel bad at first but quickly shake it off
and back to business as usual. Not much of a punishment
was given. But 10 years later, Marty decides to give
out his own punishments at their High School Reunion!

Quickie Review

Slaughter High a movie released November 14, 1986. Was
directed by George Dugdale, Mark Ezra, Peter Mackenzie Litten.
You might also notice a little familiarity to the music score
of this movie. Well that's because the music score is provided
by none other then Harry Manfredini! The man who gave us ki,ki,
ki...ma,ma,ma of the Friday the 13th francise. Also, Friday fans
will get a little surprise in one scene in particular during
the first few scenes once the clique finds a way inside their
old high school for the reunion. Slaughter High is one of those movies that uses thee old "nerd comes back to kill everyone who ever shit on him" formula. We have seen this numerous times in some fashion or another. And although it does get tiresome and old, we still seem to bite at it. So yes, i did like the movie in spite of all the cheesy undertones and in my opinion the drama club style
acting. The movie has its moments with a couple of decent scares and a couple good creative kills that i enjoyed. I do think the movie could have been better written. And the ending could have been
alot better for a movie like this. Also, some of you ladies out there might like Marty's full frontal nudity scene at the beginning. LOL!

RATING: 2/5

Side Note

Simon Scuddamore who plays Marty Rantzen in the film sadly
committed suicide shortly after Slaughter Highs release.
Little is known about Simons suicide other then it is
said it was a drug overdose. There apparently was no suicide
note found. Some say his father abused him and may have been
the motive for the suicide. But nothing is 100% official from
my understanding other then the drug overdose. I do remember
reading a while back somewhere that members of the cast said
Simon pretty much stuck to himself on the set. They said they
just left him alone because they thought he was trying to stay
in character.

RIP Simon Scuddamore
