Black Christmas 1974 -Review-

CAST

Olivia Hussey, Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder,
John Saxon, Marian Waldman, Andrea Martin

Plot

A disturbed man sneaks into a girls sorority attic right before
Christmas break. Who starts out with making grossly creepy phone
calls to the girls living in the house. One by one the calls become more
grim and more un-nerving each time he calls. Suddenly, the
girls start mysteriously disappearing!

Just a little background on Black Christmas 1974

Black Christmas was directed by Bob Clark, most famous for directing the hilariously crazy Christmas film A Christmas Story. Black Christmas is one of those forgotten horror gems that you might decide on renting if your intended rental is out. But be rest assured you will not be disappointed my fellow horror movie buffs! Black Christmas inspired such films as Halloween. Black Christmas came out back in 1974 and stars one of Nightmare on Elm Street's most notable actors. John Saxon! John Saxon also plays ironically a lieutenant as he later played one in Nightmare on Elm St. So a real treat for Saxon fans to get to see some of his earlier work.

Review

I always found it strange that i never stumbled up on this movie anytime i went to my local movie rental store to rent movies. Granted most of the rental stores i grew up around were pretty small and almost all of their horror movie sections were little. Only carrying the most popular well known horror movies. Once in a while you might come across something you never heard of and give it a watch. But i never saw this one. We did have a place that was a little out of our way that was privately owned and it was believe it or not a 2 story movie rental store! But we didn't get to go there very often. And i don't ever remember seeing it there either. Anyway, so the first time i ever saw this movie was back in the 90's and i stumbled on it on Cinemax late one night. And i have to say that i was genuinely creeped out by it. Especially the creepy phone calls. I was surprised to found out this movie was made in 1974 seemingly because it had the familiarity of such movies as Halloween, Friday the 13th etc. I thought the story was fairly well written. The characters seemed to have great chemistry together which makes a movie like this even more believable. The movie wastes no time getting to the point. Which is something i like in horror movies. The POV shots are great for this movie in its time. And sets the standard for other great horror movies. The movies mystery factor pretty much stays exactly that til the end. Questions like who killed the little girl in the park are never answered. So it leaves you wondering if the killer had anything to do with that or not. Not to mention the biggest question of all...who is Billy? Who's Agnes? Why is this guy killing people? There isn't alot of blood in this movie, but you don't need alot of blood and gore to make a great horror movie. At least in my opinion. It doesn't hurt of course either. The movie also has its funny moments to, like the house mother Mrs. Mack sneaking around the house taking swigs off of hidden booze bottles shes got placed all over. And getting upset with her cat Claude! I really liked her character in this movie, she helped to take the edge off when things get to tense. Nash the nerdy deputy takes that job over when Mack is killed off with his total lack of common sense when Margot Kidders character gives him their house number and tells him Fellatio and that its a new extension! But all an all if your a big fan of traditional style horror this is definitely going to be a pleaser. But if you like more movies that cater to the glorifying of clever kills, over kills, blood and guts then this probably isn't going to satisfy your taste. But still worth a watch!

Hell Night -Review-

CAST

Linda Blair as Marti Gaines
Vincent Van Patten as Seth
Peter Barton as Jeff Reed
Kevin Brophy as Peter Bennett
Jenny Neumann as May West
Suki Goodwin as Denise Dunsmore
Jimmy Sturtevant as Scott

Plot

Its pledge night for sororities and
fraternities! We have four kids here
2 guys and 2 girls. They have one final
task to complete. That is to spend one full
night in the old legendary Garth Manor.
Legend has it that Raymond Garth killed his wife and
all of their children. All of their children
had some type of deformity. Police say that
the youngest Garth child, Andrew was never found.
Legend has it that Andrew saw his father murder
the whole family before killing himself. It is
also said that Andrew still lives and roams the
Garth Manor to this day.(then)

Review

Hell Night was released August 28, 1981. Starring Linda Blair
better known for her role in the Exorcist as the possessed
child. And Peter Barton who later went on to play in Friday
The 13th The Final Chapter in 1984. Hell Night directed by Tom
DeSimone is another one of those horror films trying to
quickly capitalize on the success of movies like Friday The
13th, and Halloween. The first few years of the 80's people were
spinning out horror movies left and right trying to make the
next popular successor of its genre. One of those movies was
Hell Night. They made this in just 40 days. Its actually a
pretty convincing, an effective decently made movie. The
editing of the movie fits together pretty well. You would
never guess the movie used several locations to film on.
The outside portions of the Garth Manor were filmed at a
mansion in Redlands, California. Now the inside portions of
the film were shot in a residential home in Pasadena, California.
And as for the Frat party, that was shot in a lobby that belonged
to an apartment in L.A. Cali. The underground tunnels in the movie
were very creepy. Very dark and dirty. It will have you believing
that those tunnels were actually under the Garth Manor. When
in actuality, they were really just a couple of corridors the
director had his 2 cast members run back and forth from different
angles. Quite effective in my opinion. First time i saw the movie
i really felt a sense of claustrophobia from the tunnel chase scenes.
This movie really does try to break away from the exploitation of
bloody guts and overly done gore. Its made to scare and actually
succeeded pretty well. The atmosphere in the movie contributes to
this factor quite nicely. And has its good share of intense moments.
Once you get past the slow start of the movie and a couple of
slow pockets in between, It really does make up for it later.
And maybe, just maybe, Andrew wasn't the only one who survived!
Hell Night in my opinion earns it spot in the best of the batch of its
genre. I would suggest this movie to anyone that can appreciate old
80s traditional style horror anytime. Oh and Linda Blair is a great screamer!

RATING: 4/5

Tidbits:

The part where Jeff (Peter Barton) gets tossed down the cement stairs in the tunnel under the manor and ends up getting his leg hurt. Well, that indeed is what happened. Peter actually injured his leg during the filming of that scene. So when you see him limping in this movie, remember he is truly in some nasty physical pain.

He Knows You're Alone -Review-

CAST

Don Scardino as Marvin
Caitlin O'Heaney as Amy Jensen
Elizabeth Kemp as Nancy
Tom Rolfing as Ray Carlton (the killer)
Lewis Arlt as Det. Len Gamble
Patsy Pease as Joyce
James Rebhorn as Prof. Carl Mason
Tom Hanks as Elliot

Plot

A young woman who is about to get married soon
starts to feel uneasy as it appears everywhere
she goes she seems to spot the same man lurking
around her where abouts. Her friends tell her its
probably just wedding jitters..or is it?

Review

He Knows You're Alone was released September 12, 1980.
I believe Halloween was definitely the inspiration for
this creepy horror flick. For its similarities in the
music score and also the fashion of which the killer
carries himself. You can surely see Michael Myers was
the template here for this stalkers presence. Although no
mask is used to conceal this stalkers identity, his motionless
pale skinned face is all he needs. He does lack the "pure evil"
presence in his stature, but i don't truly believe that was to
be apart of this particular stalkers persona. Ray Carlton
was to be married by the love of his life, just to be kicked
to the curb by his bride to be. She decides to marry another
man. The cop no less. Ray tracks the bride to be down and
murders her in cold blood. This act of brutality ignites a
slew of bride to be slayings before their wedding day. His
next victim, Amy Jensen. Amy is all set to marry Phil. But
the guys go on a bachelors party trip for the weekend and
poor Amy is left behind. Don't worry, her friends are all
there to. And Marvin of course. Marvin is Amy's ex. Hes a
lovable guy and he still has feelings for Amy. So does
history repeat itself? You'll have to watch it to find out.
He Knows You're Alone is your typical slasher style horror
movie. It can be a bit slow going in some areas to. And a
few scenes in the movie tend to kinda drag out. The characters
in this movie seem to have some real chemistry together which
is always a plus in a movie like this. And you cant help but love
Marvin. Also, Tom Hanks makes his movie debut here. Its a small
part as he is a jogger who ends up "bumpin" into one of Amy's
friends who is also a jogger and has had her eye on him. But
as they say there are no small parts, just small actors. Its
always cool to see these huge hollywood stars in these old
horror movies. Even though they would like to forget them.
The audio is pretty good for this old flick if you get it on VHS.
Its more improved on the DVD of course. If you watch the letterbox
version you will see some really good imagery shots that get cut
short on the standard full screen version. The kills are pretty
straight forward. Nothing inventive here kill wise. Its degutting
at its slimiest. Although there is one decapitation and its the best
kill of the movie and gave people the willies. Also, this movie sparked a fear in people back in the 80's with the killer sneaking into the movie theatre to get one of his victims. It just so happens the 2 girls are watching a horror movie when Ray comes and sits down behind the slasher bride to be. He then times his kill with the screaming of the girl in the horror movie they are watching. Making it look like his victim screamed at the movie, giving himself enough time to get away before the girls friend realizes she was just murdered. That scene sparked a wide paranoia in movie goers who went to the theatres for a while. People were afraid someone was going to stab them in their seat from behind. Back then some theatres didn't have the hard backs on the seats. He Knows You're Alone isn't one of the greatest slashers for graphic content by any means. But it does have its moments, they are just few and far between in this movie. The intensity level just isn't there either in my opinion. Predictable? Sure, but what horror movie isn't all that predictable? The characters in this movie truly does carry the film on their backs. Most found the characters more interesting then the storyline of the movie. We all know there are much better stalker/slasher films to see. So if your out looking for a horror movie and their all out of what you wanted to see. Then id suggest this film on the basis of a 2nd or 3rd choice. But i have to admit, i do own this for my collection. lol

RATING: 2/5

Tidbits:

I just recently heard they want to remake this movie. But nothing is set in stone for it tho. Far as i know there is no script etc. yet. But they are definitely talking about doing it. Why i don't know as it wasn't a real stand out horror movie even in its time. Some horror movies don't need to be remade. Whether they were good enough or just plain bad. Are they going to remake ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the horror movies? *shakes head*

The Slumber Party Massacre -Review-

CAST

Michelle Michaels as Trish Devereaux
Robin Stille as Valerie 'Val' Bates
Michael Villella as Russ Thorn
Debra Deliso as Kimberly 'Kim' Clarke
Andree Honore as Jackie
Jennifer Meyers as Courtney Bates
Gina Mari as Diane
Pamela Roylance as Coach Jana

Plot

Trish's parents leave town for a while, so Trish
decides to throw a slumber party and just invites
the "gang" for old times sake. She later changes
her mind and would like to invite the "new" girl
Valerie. Diane doesn't approve, and talks trash
about her. Jealous much? Well, Valerie over hears
it and declines the invitation when Trish asks
anyway. Meantime, we eventually get a shot of a
newspaper that sports the headline..."Russ Thorn
escapes!". What do you bet Russ Thorn invites
himself to the girls slumber party?!?!

Review

Slumber Party Massacre was originally released on November
12, 1982. Its one of the shortest horror movies i have ever
come across. Running at only 77 minutes! It was directed by
Amy Holden Jones. And surprisingly was written by Rita Mae
Brown, a feminist. The movie has a fair share of nudity,
at almost every chance it gets to show some boobies and
booty. So we start with Trish, plotting the slumber party.
And we find out Russ Thorn is on the loose, who is responsible
for a slew of brutal slayings that took place in Venice, CA back
in 1969, according to a radio news cast playing. Some how Russ
ends up at the girls high school and kills a telephone repair
girl. And follows another girl back into the school because she
forgot a book. When she realizes this dude is about to kill her
she tries to escape the school. But every door she comes to its
all chained locked. So I'm like wtf? Can we say "fire hazard"?
And some how Russ knows where this party is going to take place
and shows up in the neighborhood. All these movies like this must
have psychic power killers. Just so happens Valerie lives right
across the street from Trish to. So the movie takes place mainly
at Trish's house. But it also swings over at Valerie's in between
shots of action. The boys eventually show up, like always. They
are not supposed to be there, but they wanted to scare the girls.
So they sneak into the garage and shut the power off from the fuse
box. Which in turn brings the girls out to investigate. They succeed
in scaring the girls. One got punched in the eye, so they feel sorry
for him and invite them both into the house. Diane soon after wants to ditch the party to go back to her boyfriends house for a romp in the sack. When she returns to his car, she discovers he was decapitated. She soon gets picked off afterwards. During a phone call the girls make to their coach about some game, the call is abruptly cut short due to the line being cut by Russ. Coach Jana becomes concerned and calls Valerie to ask her if she would go check it out. Shes reluctant to do so. Pizza shows up at Trish's, but when they open the door the pizza dude falls forward into their living room, dead! Well the guys decide they have to help the girls. So they decide to split up and leave the house going in separate directions. Needless to say, their attempts to get help are not successful. We eventually are down to just Trish left at the house. Courtney, who is Valerie's younger sister comes up missing. Valerie looks out the window just in time to see Courtney heading over to Trish's. Valerie goes after her. The two soon realize something is terribly wrong when they find one of the girls murdered and was stuffed into the refrigerator! Courtney hides under a piece of furniture. She sees the killer lay on the floor and pulls a blanket over his body to hide. Valerie looks for a weapon in the basement. Coach Jana has arrived just in time to find the killer hiding under the blanket. While she battles him, Valerie find a machete! And the end is near! Now i actually liked this movie. In spite of some of the nonsense and things that don't make sense. Like how does Valerie not see the blood stain on the back door of Trish's house when she goes over there? The kills in this movie are not creative by any means. Its just Russ and his huge ass two handed drill. He turns it on, sticks it in and we see a little bit of blood and that's it. But the end of the movie shows its most graphic scenes when its just Valerie battling Russ out in the back yard next to the swimming pool. Not that there aren't any more survivors, i just don't want to give away the end of the movie for those that may not have seen it. But it is an old early 80's horror movie. So don't expect to much. I think the movie also was decently written and directed for its time. Still a favorite amongst old horror movie goers. So to the newer generation of fans out there, i recommend it. Especially to see what happens to Russ!

RATING: 3/5

Tidbits:

Feminists back then protested the movie. They felt like it was a slap in the face and didn't get the inside joke. Can we say "no sense of humor". The director said in an interview that the haters were taking the movie and its violence way to seriously. Now in my opinion of what i have to say about that is, if you don't like something or even think you aren't going to like it. Then don't freakin watch it! But don't give others a hard time about it either!

Slaughter High -Review-

CAST

Caroline Munro as Carol Manning
Simon Scuddamore as Marty Rantzen
Carmine Iannaccone as Skip Pollack
Donna Yeager as Stella
Gary Martin as Joe
Billy Hartman as Frank

Plot

8 Teens torment and humiliate the high schools big geek
Marty Rantzen. They play horrible pranks on this nerd
until one day one of their little plots go horribly
wrong. Their prank backfires so badly that it not
only catches the schools lab on fire, but also with
Marty inside of it. He takes a bottle of acid in the
face and the bunsen burner ignites Marty's whole body.
The kids feel bad at first but quickly shake it off
and back to business as usual. Not much of a punishment
was given. But 10 years later, Marty decides to give
out his own punishments at their High School Reunion!

Quickie Review

Slaughter High a movie released November 14, 1986. Was
directed by George Dugdale, Mark Ezra, Peter Mackenzie Litten.
You might also notice a little familiarity to the music score
of this movie. Well that's because the music score is provided
by none other then Harry Manfredini! The man who gave us ki,ki,
ki...ma,ma,ma of the Friday the 13th francise. Also, Friday fans
will get a little surprise in one scene in particular during
the first few scenes once the clique finds a way inside their
old high school for the reunion. Slaughter High is one of those movies that uses thee old "nerd comes back to kill everyone who ever shit on him" formula. We have seen this numerous times in some fashion or another. And although it does get tiresome and old, we still seem to bite at it. So yes, i did like the movie in spite of all the cheesy undertones and in my opinion the drama club style
acting. The movie has its moments with a couple of decent scares and a couple good creative kills that i enjoyed. I do think the movie could have been better written. And the ending could have been
alot better for a movie like this. Also, some of you ladies out there might like Marty's full frontal nudity scene at the beginning. LOL!

RATING: 2/5

Side Note

Simon Scuddamore who plays Marty Rantzen in the film sadly
committed suicide shortly after Slaughter Highs release.
Little is known about Simons suicide other then it is
said it was a drug overdose. There apparently was no suicide
note found. Some say his father abused him and may have been
the motive for the suicide. But nothing is 100% official from
my understanding other then the drug overdose. I do remember
reading a while back somewhere that members of the cast said
Simon pretty much stuck to himself on the set. They said they
just left him alone because they thought he was trying to stay
in character.

RIP Simon Scuddamore

Killer Party -Review-

CAST

Martin Hewitt as Blake
Ralph Seymour as Martin
Elaine Wilkes as Phoebe
Paul Bartel as Prof. Zito
Sherry Willis-Burch as Vivia

Plot

3 Friends decide to join a sorority. But what they don't realize is that the sorority house is inhabited by an evil spirit named Allan. 20 years ago Allan was "Accidentally" killed at an April Fools party. Now the girls are gearing up for their own April Fools Party! I sense a special guest appearance by Allan...don't you?

Quickie Review

Killer Party was released back in 1986 on May 9th. If you like such films as Friday the 13th, and Slaughter High, then i recommend seeing this movie. Killer Party is another one of those unpopular horror gems that just hasn't got its due props. The movie starts out with a boring and un-necessary showing of a music video being played during a movie which you later discover is being watched by one of the 3 friends joining the sorority. To me that has to be the most silliest part of the movie and a waste of time. My guess is the duration of the movie came up short and they had to fill it in with something. But don't let that discourage you from watching Killer Party. Exorcist fans will get a real treat at the end of the movie and is worth seeing for the ending alone.

balance and david get throwed under the wheel of the
car and it comes slamming down on his leg. David is
now permanantly crippled due to the bullying. Now
David steps things way up and decides to stop the
madness once and for all.

Review

Massacre at Central High was released September of 1976.
I couldnt find an exact date of its release. But it was
released in France on January 11, 1978. It also has several
subtitles. Its also known as..Blackboard Massacre in the UK,
Les baskets se déchaînent in France, Masakra na Central High
in Poland, Massaker in Klasse 13, in West Germany, Sexy Jean
in Italy (X-rated version) and Terror i Central High in Sweden.
Massacre Central High was directed by Renee Dalder, who also
did the screenplay. This film also stars a young Kimberly Beck,
better known for her role in Friday The 13th: Final Chapter as
Tommy Jarvis' older sister. Massacre At Central High is one of
those movies that some would like to see released on DVD soon.
I believe this movie got a PAL format only release on DVD, but
no NTSC format yet. Most have never heard of this movie, i
certainly didnt until i came across it one time years ago in
a rental store. I had seen just about everything on their shelf
except this and decided what the hell why not. Massacre at Central
High falls into the category of teen slashers/revenge. As to be
expected the quality of the film isnt all that great. The sound
of the film can be terrible at times. Lacking background noise
such times at the beach, the wind blowing and crowds. Dialog can
be a bit off at times as well. But if you can forgive the film
for its flaws it has some pretty good action in it for its time.
There are some really good kills in the movie for a 1970's flick.
For me personally, i really got into the whole taking revenge out
on these bullies. I couldnt wait to see what David was going to do
next to these creeps. Unfortunately, its to bad the other students
couldnt appreciate the fact that they no longer had to be bullied
around by this clan any more. So what did they do? They turned on
each other and started to bully each other around. Longing for a
new group to "lead" them and keep them in line. David decides that
he is just going to have to teach the whole school a lesson by
attemping to place a bomb in the basement. Now who hasnt thought
about doing that at some point in time? One thing i found pretty
cool about this movie was the fact that there was never any police
involved. There was no adult authority figures what so ever. So did
this school not have principles? That would be great wouldnt it?
But the lack of any authority seems to be appealing in all the same.
The script is a bit cliched but thats usually to be expected in a
explotational type of film. If you are into slasher/revenge films
then this movie is worth a watch. Its not the greatest film out there
by any standards, but the director does try to widen the material as
much as possible in order to get the issues out there that he finds
most serious. Now i have heard about there being plenty of sexual
situations in this movie that are pretty good. But i have seen 2
versions of this movie and i didnt find the sex content to be all
that. Unless they mean its good for its time. Or theres another
version i havent seen. But maybe its the Sexy Jean X-Rated one in
Italy. Oh well, it still has plenty explosions and death scenes to
keep a person occupied.

The Stepfather (Remake) -Review-

CAST

Dylan Walsh as David Harris
Sela Ward as Susan Harding
Penn Badgley as Michael Harding
Amber Heard as Kelly Porter

Plot

The Stepfather is about a delusional man with old fashion family
values with absolutely no room for error. Should you disappoint
him he may just re-paint your cute little house in your blood!

Review

I just want to start off with saying that i really liked the original version of The Stepfather. So like with any remake i watch, especially if i liked the original i am going to watch with a critical eye. I dont expect a remake to be an exact copy of its original predecesser, because that would just kinda be pointless. But what i do expect in a remake is for it to capture the essence of the original and not go off to much of its orginality or add to much or take from the main character in the remake. For example of this Rob Zombies remakes. So with that being said i would say the film held true to the story, right down to how the original started out. Man kills current family, and is changing his identity and ready to move on to the next poor victims family. And the fact that they kept this Stepfather in the reality business also. But not for long as he starts to get nervous when they insist that he fill out his paperwork for tax purposes etc. Now what i didn't like about this movie was the fact that they didn't include the creepy little whistling jingle "camptown lady sing this song do da, do da". I mean come on now, that was such a huge factor to the Stepfather in the original its what helped to make him so eerily creepy. That's like taking the "ki,ki,ki.. ma, ma, ma" out of Friday the 13th. So for me in my opinion that was a big disappointment. I also didn't think that this Stepfather was very convincing in his moments of rage and agitated phases. I just wasn't feeling the "oh shit" factor when he would get upset. I also didn't think he captured that villianistic charm or the evil smoothness of situations when they would go bad. Not like Terry O'Quinns version. I thought the prepping of the plans to kill this family and move on again was a bit bland also. Its like, well let me call the newspaper company and cancel my subscription because in doing that no one will be able to track me down. WTF? lol Pop in some colored contacts and shave and no one will find me. And even tho the movie lead you to believe he was changing the color of his hair, it didn't look any different to me. So things like that in the movie seemed really silly to me. It wouldn't if it were more believable and had some real convincing cause to back it. I also think there were just to many kids in this family to keep track of. Originally the Stepfather tended to seek out single mothers with one child. Which worked better in my opinion. But i don't want to give to much away since this is a newer movie. It is worth a watch despite the lack of intensity of the main character. And if you like Lifetime suspense movies then this is the movie for you! Kinda has that feel to it i think.

LEGION -Review-

CAST

Paul Bettany as Michael
Lucas Black as Jeep Hanson
Tyrese Gibson as Kyle Williams
Adrianne Palicki as Charlie
Charles S. Dutton as Percy Walker
Kevin Durand as Gabriel

The Plot

A Diner out in the boonies ends up being a "safe house" for several strangers unknowingly fixing to do battle with the forces of darkness. Along their sides during this apocalyptic fight is the Arc Angel Michael. Apparently God loses faith in mankind and he sends his legion of angels to destroy man and bring on the judgements of the Apocalypse.

My Review

Well its going to be hard to do this review with out getting into the aspects of religion here. Which i hardly ever allow myself to get into religious and or political debates etc. because both subjects or so sensitive and get people so angered. So I'm going to say up front i am not looking to debate or argue with anyone with what i have to say about this movie. This review is purely based on how i viewed things in the movie according to my knowledge of what i have learned so far in life on these issues.

Firstly, i always go see a movie like this with an open mind. Maybe even learn something new. The first problem i had with the movie was the fact that these ugly, evil looking creatures were supposed to be actual Angels. I was thinking the whole time they were demons until Michael mentions that their Gods Angels. So with that i had a hard time believing that God would send Angels down to earth looking like that and possessing people and eating them. And with a purpose of killing a poor innocent baby and get the Apocalypse rolling. And you never found out in the movie what the significance of the baby is/was. There seemed to be many holes in the plot like this. And some of the characters seemed to be underdeveloped. Not to mention a lack of chemistry. Michael is constantly changing his mind. First he rebels against God. Then later he changes his mind about killing the baby and decided to try to save the baby. Now from my knowledge Michael would never rebel against God. Let alone would there ever be a fight between Arc Angels Gabriel & Michael. Also things like the tattoos all over Michael's body were never commented on. And i know I'm not the only one wondering about those tattoos. And where was Gabriel's tattoos? Why didn't he have any? What made Michael so special then? Small questions to ask, maybe. But still adds mystery to the many unanswered questions about the movie. In reality these days no matter what your beliefs are there is a sense deep down that we all know God is getting fed up with all the crap going on in the world. But i highly doubt he would deal with it in the way this movie try's to make us think he would. I also believe God would never loose his faith. That contradicts traditional beliefs in the fact that God will always remain hopeful no matter what. So not exactly sure what the writers of this movie is trying to get across here or what their beliefs are. Or are they simply trying to shake other peoples beliefs and faiths? My advice for those interested in seeing this movie goes like this...If you have strong religious beliefs and are easily offended by having your faith and beliefs tested, then this movie isn't for you. But if you are just looking for a good suspenseful action thriller then check it out. There are some great special effects in the movie that make up for the bad acting. Oh i wanted to mention that i heard this movie was based off some comic book. So not sure if that is true or not. But if it is then that explains alot! lol
